A letter to the members of our mailing list was sent. This was intended to discuss the problems regarding scientistsŐ activities. Most of the members were participants of a society for young researchers of biochemistry.

A Japanese Committee was formed to set up the organization dealing with the problems in scientific research communities.

It was reported that the organization would be established soon in Asahi Shinbun
June 29, 2002
The name of the upcoming organization was decided as Science Communication Japan
November 21, 2002
The web was set up to establish Non-profit organization Science Communication Japan
